Over and above general consultancy services Axtrim Group has completed the following projects in the last five years:
1. Project initiation:
- an innovative concept for a 5.5 day-per-week specialist hospital - Axtrim purchased an existing hospital, project managed the complete redesign of the facility and the building works through to commissioning
- an innovative concept for a novel type of property development - Axtrim purchased the site and project managed the design, pre-sales, construction and settlements
- a new concept for the merger of two complementary but different specialist medical groups – where Axtrim conceived an idea, presented it to the clients, negotiated the merger and managed and implemented the project including design and development / construction management
2. Sale of businesses
- appointed to sell a complex medical business that, after re-positioning and re-defining the business sold for nearly double the original valuation
- after a four year role as strategic business consultant to turn around a loss-making business, the sale of that businesses at a substantial price
- sale of a business that all other agents had refused to market or try to sell as they thought the business was not saleable
- establishment of sales price and the marketing / sale of hospitals and day surgeries are a specialist area for Axtrim Group
3. Purchase / Acquisition of businesses
- the identification and acquisition of a value-adding and complementary business, including negotiation and due diligence for a client that doubled the size of the existing business (T/O $20m)
- the writing and compiling of a highly unusual and competitive tender that doubled the size of the client's (F & B) business
- the identification, sourcing and purchase of specific, defined businesses for new business owners including new migrants ranging in price from $280k to $5m
4. Business turn around
- the principal of Axtrim took on a part-time role as Interim CEO of a medium sized Not-For-Profit company (T/O $12m, 120 staff) for four months and turned the business around fairly dramatically in that short time
- the principal of Axtrim took on a long term management advisory role for a loss-making hospital and returned it to profit in 18 months
